The ftp.pgp.net PGP download archive
The complete PGP archive once served by ftp://ftp.pgp.net/pub/pgp/ and its mirrors (ftp.uk.pgp.net, ftp.de.pgp.net, ftp.pl.pgp.net and others). Web browsers no longer speak FTP, so the same files are now here over HTTPS, at the same paths: ftp.pgp.net/pc/dos/… becomes www.pgp.net/pub/pgp/pc/dos/….
Historical software. These are 1990s versions of PGP (2.x and 5.0) and tools for them, kept unchanged for history and research. They use old algorithms (RSA keys of 1024 bits or less, IDEA, MD5) and must not be used to protect anything today. For real use, install GnuPG.

ftp.pgp.net: PGP for various systems.
Sub-directories contain various PGP-related materials. The PGP source
code and binaries for various major architectures will be found in
pc, mac and unix though the latter is a bit of a misnomer since
the generic 2.x source code distribution will be found there.
The current 5.0 code can be found in V5.0.
Under pc will be found MS-DOS, OS/2 versions and MS-Windows front-ends.
Other directories contain help-files for several languages (in language);
documentation (in doc); the published key ring (in keys) and a
number of front-ends, utility programs and the PGPTools library (in utils).
A full listing of files in the archive are held in ls-lR.Z.

About this archive
The files are exactly as they were on the server in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with their original dates. Folders that contained an HTML document of their own, such as the comp.security.pgp FAQ, show that document.
